Two Big Changes at We Are Libertarians!

We are making a couple of essential branding changes. Nothing is changing despite labels, and we are just clarifying our messages.

First, our Patreon is now WAL Plus. Join WAL Plus for bonus podcasts, complete archives, commercial-free shows, and more! It makes it cleaner and easier to describe.

Secondly, the flagship podcast will shift from We Are Libertarians to The Chris Spangle Show. The network will still be the WAL moniker. Brand confusion became a problem in 2020 because the network and show were named the same thing. With a diverse group of approaches to liberty, each host needs the freedom to share their opinions without being tied to the flagship show. Brian Nichols and Remso Martinez especially made significant gains in their audiences, and this change will help their growth by making it clear that this is a collection of opinions.

It also benefits my show as I can book more mainstream guests, and our listeners can share the show without people thinking they’re being indoctrinated from the get-go (they’ll find that out later). It also accompanies my new blog at ChrisSpangle.com.

One small change to the website is that we are no longer blogging or accepting submissions. We are a podcast network, so we are drilling down on that alone. We will still share articles on our social media and sending out the daily Libertarian Aurora email. I will be personally writing at ChrisSpangle.com through Substack. Just a reminder that if someone signs up for the Libertarian Aurora in Mailchimp, we add them to the Substack due to the paywall.
