A Kid Again Indiana is an organization with a mission to support kids with life-threatening conditions and their families by giving illness a time-out through year-round adventures. Having a child with a life-threatening condition is a reality no family wants to face. But the reality is every year, more than 27,000 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. We’re trying to get the word out to eligible families in the greater Indianapolis area about how they can take advantage of the support from A Kid Again.
Finding moments of joy and escape from the fear and anxiety of medical appointments and treatments is so important not just for the child, but for the parents and siblings as well. Whether it’s a virtual magic show or a day at the zoo, A Kid Again helps families feel a sense of normalcy through consistent activities at absolutely no cost to the family. And this matters. More than 90% of families served by A Kid Again report increased feelings of hope and that their family was strengthened because of the support from A Kid Again.
