A new income tax is headed towards the folks of Henry County to pay for 911 service. Our main topic revolves around the Indiana Town Marshal system, where communities can create a police department. Sheriff Sproles expresses concerns that it creates “badge factories” where towns are giving full police power to individuals who don’t necessarily have the citizens as their focus. Long discussion around how the process currently works, what the Sheriff and his team have done to address the issue, and if residents still have full police protection.
