Here in Indiana (home base for the LTC), a voter cannot register by party. If you SAY you are a member of a party, you are one. The closest one comes is if you vote in a closed-party primary for the R’s or D’s (L’s excluded). But there are some fantastic numbers for new registered L’s out of the LP of Nebraska that are shades of what is happening in other states.
