Trump is insisting that his name be added to the millions of physical stimulus checks being sent out to millions of Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is absurd in many levels – it defies precedent; Congress had more to do with getting this relief passed than Trump; it’s delaying the delivery of this desperately needed cash.
It’s also sad and pathetic. Imagine how insecure this weak man must be to insist on something so trivial and petty.
The pastor Addison Hodges Hart puts it well:
The ego of this buffoon would be considered too much for a character depicted in serious fiction. It would lack verisimilitude. For that matter, so does Trump.
